Tim Nash
The 2008 stock market crash happened just months after Tim graduated from his Master’s program in Sweden. Determined to carve a path in the sustainable investment industry, Tim decided to start his own company.
Teaching economics at Sheridan College to pay the bills, Tim opened a TFSA and started looking for sustainable investment options. Lots of funds were simply greenwashing, So Tim started his blog The Sustainable Economist in 2011 to help readers understand the differences.
Readers kept reaching out as they’d get stuck in their investment journey, so in 2017 Tim officially launched Good Investing as a financial planning company. He’s been helping people get unstuck full-time ever since.

Darryl Brown
After business school, Darryl’s natural analytical skills led him towards completing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which he quickly put to good use working in increasingly senior roles at large financial institutions. But the financial industry wasn’t a good fit for Darryl’s ethics, so he left.
For the majority of his career, Darryl was moonlighting as a “kitchen table advisor,” helping friends and family make sense of their investments and financial products. In 2017 he hung up his tie and left the corporate finance world to start offering thoughtful, independent and unbiased investment planning to individuals across the country.
